COMMISSIONing Bespoke Jewellery

Collaborate with Sally to create a unique and personal piece of Sally Grant jewellery. She will use her expertise to create a bespoke design to suit your budget, gemstone and material choice or you can choose to adapt a design from one of her collections. She is also happy to discuss creating a special piece with your own heirloom jewellery.

“I love to discuss ideas with my customers. Every piece tells a unique story for the wearer”

The process

Sally will send a quotation via email which may include drawings, photography and gemstone options. She is happy to supply a range of quotations to choose from.

“I aim to guide you through the process to create an honest and considered, bespoke piece. Collaborating with customers, and the organic nature of handmaking offers a unique opportunity to create a very personal and individual piece of jewellery.”

A commissioned piece can take 8 to 12 weeks to make but please allow time to discuss your design beforehand. Remodelling gemstones and jewellery can take longer due to the individual nature of the project. Please get in touch with Sally if a piece is required for a specific date.

Ideas

Sally’s website offers a range of designs and styles as a starting point.  Browse her collections, previous commissions and Instagram for inspiration and contact Sally for an informal chat.

Visit the studio

Sally’s beautiful studio is based in the coastal town of Burntisland in Fife. It is one of a number of B listed station outbuildings converted by Fife Historic Buildings Trust and is now home to a number of businesses, studios and workshops.

Burntisland Station is on the Fife Circle train line with a 40 minute train service running at half hour intervals between Edinburgh and Kirkcaldy.

You are welcome to make an appointment to visit. Sally has a selection of jewellery on display and diamonds and gemstones can be sourced ahead of your consultation to choose from if required.

My commitment to ethical making.

My jewellery is designed and made in Scotland and I am committed to working with traceable and sustainable materials and creating jewellery with minimal environmental impact.

I use Fairtrade certified gold from registered suppliers. Buying Fairtrade Gold makes a real difference to the lives of miners, their families and communities. Small-scale and artisanal miners are guaranteed a fair price for their work which provides them with financial security. They also receive an extra amount of money to invest in building a future for their families and their communities through education, medical care or environmental projects.

Fairtrade Foundation registered jeweller. Click here for further information.

I buy gemstones from trusted suppliers with an ethical commitment, suppliers who can demonstrate responsible sourcing and traceability - a complete chain of custody.

I source certified Canada Mark, recycled and Fair-Trade diamonds. Mining and manufacturing of Fairtrade and Canada Mark diamonds has been undertaken without violence and the suppliers adhere to international humanitarian law. Recycled diamonds are sourced from pre-loved jewellery, re-introduced into the supply chain for re-sale. Please get in touch if you would like to learn more about ethical gemstones and diamonds.
