Please come and join us on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th November for our annual Christmas Open Studios. I will be showing a selection of bespoke rings alongside a limited edition collection of pendants and earrings.
I will be exhibiting my jewellery at Elements, a festival of silver and gold at the salerooms of Lyon and Turnbull in Edinburgh this week. Please come along - Thursday to Sunday.
I have been busy this month with some really lovely commissions in 9ct gold, platinum, silver and palladium.
A celebration of craft making this weekend at Cambo Estate. Come and join us.
And other delights at Cambo Estate in Fife. I will be talking about my work as well as displaying some new pieces inspired by the estate as part of the Meet Your Maker programme with Craft Scotland on Sunday 22nd March. I am particularly drawn to the Prairie Garden which is a rich tapestry of dried grasses and seedheads at this time of year.
My husband bought me a book: In the Wilds by Nigel Peake. A collection of rural drawings created over a three month period in the winter of 2009. A bit of research led me to his architectural drawings which I find equally inspiring.
A special new ring, made using gold and diamonds from these heirloom rings.
A happy and healthy 2015 to one and all. I thought I would share my last commission of 2014. A tourmalated quartz gemstone ring set in 18ct gold pictured with its happy new owner.
Inspired by this book today. I am thinking about ideas for a community shelter and this book sums it up really. Community service initiatives creating original buildings using original and recycled materials. Love it. Proceed and be bold was the mantra of the founder of Rural Design Studios. I must remember it.
Independence or Union? A historic day either way.
